How to add custom JS to GoHighLevel and install the customizer

To add custom JS to GoHighLevel, open the agency view, go to Settings, Company, and paste the code into the Custom JS field of the White Label section. For the GHL Customizer that is one script line from your account, plus one CSS @import line in Custom CSS for the login page. It takes about two minutes and you only do it once.

Six steps, once

The same steps for every package. If your agency already uses custom code, add the customizer line alongside it.

  1. STEP 01

    Log in to the customizer

    Use the login emailed to you after purchase at customizer.ghlcustomercare.com and change the temporary password.

  2. STEP 02

    Open Get code

    The editor's Get code screen shows your two lines with your own key already filled in: a script tag for Custom JS and an @import line for Custom CSS. Copy the script tag.

  3. STEP 03

    Open your agency settings

    In GoHighLevel switch to the agency view and open Settings, then Company. Scroll to the White Label section.

  4. STEP 04

    Paste into Custom JS and save

    Paste the line into the Custom JS field and save. Reload any sub-account: your published theme is already there.

  5. STEP 05

    Add the CSS line

    On the same White Label page, paste the @import line into Custom CSS and save. That is what carries the login page design; open your login URL in a private window to check it.

  6. STEP 06

    Publish from now on

    That is the last time you touch GoHighLevel. Every change you publish in the editor is live on the next page load.

Undo in one move

Delete the line and GoHighLevel returns to its default look straight away. Your designs stay saved in the customizer account.

Roll back a change

Version history keeps your previous saves, so a change that does not land can be reversed from the editor without touching GoHighLevel.

Websites are separate

Popups, notifications, calculators and floating widgets for websites use their own embed from the editor and only run on your allowed domains.

Install questions

Where do I add custom JS in GoHighLevel?
In your agency view: Settings, Company, then the White Label section, where GoHighLevel provides a Custom JS field. The customizer gives you one script tag to paste there, loading a file named after your account key from customizer.ghlcustomercare.com.
Where does the login page CSS go?
In the Custom CSS field on the same White Label page. The customizer gives you one @import line for it, pointing at your account's login stylesheet, which is what lets the login designs work.
Do I have to paste new code every time I change the design?
No. The line loads your published setup, so after the first install every change you publish appears on the next page load.
Can I remove it?
Yes. Delete the line from the Custom JS field and GoHighLevel returns to its default look straight away. Your designs stay saved in your customizer account.
Does the install affect page speed?
The line loads one small script from the customizer platform that applies your saved styles. GoHighLevel itself loads as normal; the styles are applied on top of it.
What if I already have custom code in GoHighLevel?
Keep it. Add the customizer line alongside your existing code; if anything overlaps, the advanced settings in the editor let you adjust or remove your own rules.
Do websites need a separate install?
Website widgets (popups, notifications, calculators and floating widgets) use an embed snippet from the editor that you add to the site once. They only run on the allowed domains listed in your account.
Who do I contact if the install does not work?
Check the help docs first, then contact support with your account email. Nobody needs your GoHighLevel password to help.
