Snapshot updates for a library already in the field

We take a snapshot you have already deployed into client sub-accounts, produce a versioned update, and roll it out account by account with a written diff — so every client ends up on the same build instead of twenty variants of it.

SVC-01 // THE BRIEF

What this actually is

The expensive part of owning a snapshot is not the first install. It is month nine, when GoHighLevel has changed a trigger, three clients have had bespoke edits made live, and nobody can say what any given account is actually running.

This engagement establishes a version. We audit every sub-account the snapshot was loaded into, record what has diverged and why, and separate the edits that were genuine client requirements from the ones that were somebody working around a bug. The first set gets folded into the master; the second gets fixed.

Then the update is packaged and rolled out, one account at a time, each with a written diff you can hand to the client. Updates never reach a sub-account outside your own agency — that is a platform rule, not a policy — so accounts held elsewhere get a re-import pack instead.

What you get

  • A divergence audit across every sub-account the snapshot was loaded into
  • A written decision on each divergence: fold into master, revert, or leave with a reason
  • A versioned master snapshot with a changelog written in plain language
  • Rollout account by account, each with a diff you can send to the client
  • A re-import pack for accounts held outside your agency, which updates cannot reach
  • A regression pass on each account after the update, not just before it
  • A written cadence for the next update, so this does not become an annual emergency

SVC-02 // PROCESS

Four stages, with named gates

Every stage has an owner and an exit condition. Nothing moves forward on a hunch that it is probably fine.

  1. 01

    Inventory

Every sub-account carrying the snapshot is listed with what it is actually running. Most agencies discover here that two accounts were never fully loaded in the first place.

  2. 02

    Decide

Each divergence gets a decision in writing. Client requirements go into the master; workarounds get fixed at the source rather than preserved.

  3. 03

    Version

The master is rebuilt and given a version number and a changelog somebody outside the build can read.

  4. 04

    Roll out

Account by account, with a regression pass after each one and a diff you can forward to the client without editing it.

SVC-04 // QUESTIONS

About snapshot update & versioning

Will an update overwrite what the client has customised?
Not silently. Every divergence is listed and decided before anything is pushed, and the decision is in the document you sign off. The ones that are genuine client requirements go into the master so they survive the next update too.
Can you update accounts outside our agency?
No, and neither can anyone else. GoHighLevel only propagates updates within the agency that owns the sub-account. Accounts held elsewhere get a re-import pack with instructions, which is the honest answer rather than a workaround.
How often should this run?
Quarterly is enough for most libraries, and the cadence is part of what you get. Doing it annually means the divergence audit is the expensive part every time.
